Victoria Point Pride: Local Footy Stars Take the Field for Queensland

Redlands Victoria Point Sharks on AFL

Victoria Point will have a powerful presence in this weekend’s interstate clash, with five local stars selected in Queensland’s final 23-man team to take on Tasmania. The maroon jersey will be worn with pride by Adrian Williams, Clay Cameron, Matt Hammelmann, Charlton Offermans, and Dylan Smith, all representing Redland Victoria Point Football Club.

The Queensland side, coached by Steve Daniel, will face Tasmania at Latrobe Recreation Ground on Saturday 5 July 2025, with the men’s match scheduled for 2:15 pm AEST, following the women’s game at 12 pm. Both matches will be livestreamed on AFL Queensland’s YouTube channel.

Daniel, returning to lead the state side for the first time in more than a decade, said the squad was chosen to match Tasmania’s strength and physicality.

“2025 brings an exciting new challenge against Tasmania who over the last two years have been too good for us,” Daniel said in an AFL Queensland media release. “So with that comes optimism and excitement to try and turn the tables. We have been able to establish a very combative team that is ready to put their best foot forward to contribute and help guide Queensland to victory.”
